Apollo 11 Saturn V Launch.

This clip is raw from Camera E-8 on the launch umbilical tower/mobile launch program of Apollo 11, July 16, 1969.

I've never really been into all that spaceship stuff [unless we're talking Kanye West tracks] but this is interesting as hell.. especially with the fact that this was shot in 1969.

Natural Living.

Sagan Piechota Architecture designed the Division Knoll Residence in Big Sur, California.

Elemental in nature – walls of glass, floors of stone, supports of concrete, a roof of copper – “it’s not really about the architecture itself, but more about the architecture as a vessel for looking at the view,” says Daniel Piechota. Because of the simplicity of materials, it’s almost an invisible structure. There are certain angles where you’re pretty much looking through the house like you almost don’t see it.

Interim – The Art Of Reuse.

When I received an invitation for the ‘Interim’ event I must admit that I was really excited. I too have made it a part of my shopping habbits to check out vintage and thrift stores because its so satisfying finding an awesome jacket or crazy pair of glasses. It’s almost like treasure hunting for shoppers.

Well the Interim team made up of designers, stylists, and artists have mastered the science of thrift shopping and packaged it for Toronto (it’s first stop) as The Art Of Reuse. They travelled to a number of cities and small towns to create this rare collection of thrift items.

There is however a 3 item limit per person and no items over $50. This event has created quite a buzz in the Toronto fashion scene and rumours have it that there might be some Toronto fashion icons in attendance.
